Today it was math sharing day. Everybody in Mr.Henry's class was getting ready for math sharing day.


Every one was unpacking the stuff in their  boxes and got ready for doing math experiments and they would get ribbons for their projects and especially the best project.

Mona learns to spell

There was a girl named mona she went to school she was alawys embrassed about spelling.One day mona went to school. Mr.Henry told everyone to get a lined paper from there desk and told them that he would pick sticks because there names were on them so it would be fair for everyone he picked mona first mona said pictures so everyone wrote pictures except mona she did not get to write a single letter at all. She just wrote "p" and all the kids  moved ahead of her and they were on their fourth word. Mona catched up to the third word which was snake and she got stuck on the fourth word. The fourth word was paintings. She was scared that she was going to get it wrong, but she tried her best to spell it right. She was done with fifth,sixth,seventh and eighth. She again got stuck on the ninth one.The ninth word was "photo frames", she did not know if she could do the nineth word correctly but she tried her best and she went on the tenth and it was so easy for her. The tenth word was "clock". On friday she got her spelling test back, she saw her score on the spelling test and it was 9 out of 10. She was very happy that she atleast tried her best. On the next test she got 10 out of 10 and since the whole class got 10 out of 10 Mr Henry decided that they would have a party that the whole class finished their test and got 10 out of 10. And, Mona was so happy !!!

High or Low pitch Sound Experiment

High or Low Pitch Sound Experiment

For this experiment you will need 

• Eight bottles
• Water (colored)

Put water in the bottles in lowest to highest level.

You will need kind of like a drumstick for tapping the bottle.

Tap gently the bottles with the drum stick from highest to lowest and lowest to highest.

Observation

you can see that they make totally different sounds from lowest to highest and highest to lowest.

the emptiest bottle makes the lowest sound because it has more air space in it and  vibrates slow.

Light and Heavy Experiment

For this experiment you will need

• Heavy object like a rock
• Light object like a piece of paper ball

Hold both the objects at the same height in your hands and let them go both at the same time and see what is happening to the heavy and the light object

Observations:

As you can see the heavy object is not floating it is just dropping straight down vs the light object was floating like a paper, just relaxing like an aeroplane and it lands light like a paper becauseits more lighter than rock.

The heavy object is not floating because its more heavier and gravitational force is pulling the rock down.

Geetha learns to be nice!!!

Seetha and Geetha are best friends in the same neighbourhood. One day Seetha and Geetha were going to school and they found out that they were in the same class. When they were in the class they were waiting for the teacher and geetha saw a mean friend coming into the class. She forgot the boys name but she knew he was her mean friend.

Geetha came to his desk and pushed him, he pushed her back. And then both went back to their seats. The next day when they saw more of his friends came and geetha was really mad because she knew that all of them would be meaner to her.  At lunch when boys were playing together, they saw geetha playing on the play structure. And so he came up to her, he pushed her and they had a big fight. One of the guard duty saw what happened and came up to them and said "you should stop fighting because that is not allowed in the school". They both stopped fighting and went to the principals office.

The principal has said to them "you have to go home and everybody else can stay here" , the office called their parents. Parents came and picked up the kids. When Geetha got home, her mom and Geetha had a talk about being mean to other kids. On the next day of school, Geetha remembered not to push the mean kids. But they teased her back when she teased them.Even though that she remembered not to push or do any mean things, she did do some mean things during recess and lunch time. The next day, Geetha was really bored trying not to push the mean boys in the class. So, Seetha came up to Geetha and said, Geetha you have to use your words. Then Geetha said that, ok, i will try that and so, Geetha came up to the mean kids and said, can you try not being mean to me. Then the mean boys said, OK, thank you for using words instead of actions. And then from now on, the mean kids, stopped being mean,and became nice. And whenever,they saw each other,they greeted each other and became best friends forever.

Geetha learns to save money

Seetha and Geetha are good friends. One day Geetha thought that she could buy a pet with her own money. So Geetha went to go tell her mom she wanted to buy a pet, her mom said "okay" and she went to go buy a pet. So she got a little cute puppy and then she went to Seethas house and told her she got a new puppy.

Geetha said to Seetha "Nah - i don't like this dog because it doesn't do any good tricks" and then Geetha goes home and told her mom "i don't like this puppy, i want to get a new pet". Geetha went to pet shop and this time she liked the parrot there.

She went to seethas house and told her about new parrot. She thought the parrot could talk but it didn't talk. So she didn't like the parrot. So then she went back to her house and told her mom about her parrot and she said "You can go get a new pet" and then geetha went to pet shop to get a new pet and this time she got a hamster.

She went to seethas house and told her about the new hamster, seetha said "where is the parrot? " Geetha said "oh, i sold it .." Seetha said "What did you get this time?" "Oh i got a hamster this time, its a cute little hamster" and geetha said "okay its time for hamsters milk time". But the hamster did not want any milk so geetha went back home and told her mom "okay i don't like this pet any more, so could i go get a new pet from pet store?"

"hold on" said her mom "you are not going any where until you learn to save your money ....". "What ?"said geetha "Yes - you are not leaving the house until you learn to save your money."

And Geetha learnt to save money ant not waste any money.
