ISAAC NEWTON - Discovering laws that govern the universe

Isaac Newton

NAME  OF THE BOOK:  ISAAC NEWTON- DISCOVERING LAWS THAT GOVERN THE UNIVERSE

AUTHOR OF THE BOOK: MICHAEL WHITE
DESIGNER OF THE DISPLAY: RAMYA KAJA

My display is about mathematical genius, Isaac Newton and his inventions.  One day, Newton sat beneath an apple tree concentrating on his studies.  Suddenly an apple fell and hit him on the head and this young scientist started thinking about moving objects.  He was 22 years old when he developed the theory of gravity.  This theory explain how Planets and Moon travel in their orbits around the sun. Same theory explains why we remain held firmly to Earth, and do not all float off into space.
Newton's childhood was a lonely time, made few friends and spent most of the time in experiments, making models, creating little mechanical devices. He was born on Christmas Day in 1642 in Woolsthorpe, England.  At the age of 21, he began his experiments with light.  In 1665 he began  to develop  his own advanced Mathematics.  In 1670 to 1671 he made a reflecting telescope.  In 1672 he was invited to join the Royal Society,  which is a group of senior scientists.  He began to formulate his theories,  published papers,  books on light and optics.  He died in 1727.
Newton's  experiments, discovering laws that govern the universe helped modern science and construction. He made incredible breakthroughs in mathematics and physics. Newton's laws of motion explained theory of gravity, how forces act upon objects whether they were moving or stationery.  These laws of motion are used in designing cars, spaceship, aircraft engines are great contributions to modern science.  One of the greatest development in the history of mathematics is differential calculus, binomial theorem and nature of white light.  His other inventions were telescopes, microscopes, eye glasses and cameras.
