Indian Independence day celebrations San Jose CA

 

Today we went to 65th Indian Independence day celebrations  at San Jose city hall - i had a great day, saw the flag hosting. Everybody sang US National anthem and Indian National anthem and all saluted to the flags. 

There were lot of cultural performances dancing, indian art display and singing!!!! 

Math sharing day

Today it was math sharing day. Everybody in Mr.Henry's class was getting ready for math sharing day.


Every one was unpacking the stuff in their  boxes and got ready for doing math experiments and they would get ribbons for their projects and especially the best project.

Mona learns to spell

There was a girl named mona she went to school she was alawys embrassed about spelling.One day mona went to school. Mr.Henry told everyone to get a lined paper from there desk and told them that he would pick sticks because there names were on them so it would be fair for everyone he picked mona first mona said pictures so everyone wrote pictures except mona she did not get to write a single letter at all. She just wrote "p" and all the kids  moved ahead of her and they were on their fourth word. Mona catched up to the third word which was snake and she got stuck on the fourth word. The fourth word was paintings. She was scared that she was going to get it wrong, but she tried her best to spell it right. She was done with fifth,sixth,seventh and eighth. She again got stuck on the ninth one.The ninth word was "photo frames", she did not know if she could do the nineth word correctly but she tried her best and she went on the tenth and it was so easy for her. The tenth word was "clock". On friday she got her spelling test back, she saw her score on the spelling test and it was 9 out of 10. She was very happy that she atleast tried her best. On the next test she got 10 out of 10 and since the whole class got 10 out of 10 Mr Henry decided that they would have a party that the whole class finished their test and got 10 out of 10. And, Mona was so happy !!!
